How is our hearing today? Do we hear what we want to hear or do we hear the full counsel of the Word of God? Almost everything we learn comes through hearing. After hearing, what happens? Do we comprehend and apply or do we let it fall to the way side. If we don't understand can we be honest and say I don't understand instead of pretending we do? Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. True faith comes through true Word. It is important to understand not only what we hear but, HOW WE HEAR. When Jesus spoke He spoke the same word and many did not hear though they heard. They heard but did not comprehend. Scripture says Am 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: Because of hardness of heart man can't hear. Mt 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: We are in an hour where the Lord is releasing His prophets to proclaim the way unto Him through the Crucified Christ. People hear but they really don't understand. Paul was concerned for the establishment of the Church.In Romans 1:11 he says For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; TO BE ESTABLISHED. The word hear is sterizo which means to set fast, (literally) to turn resolutely in a certain direction, or (figuratively) to confirm,fix,establish, stedfastly set, strengthen. To cause the church to become steadfast in who they were and what they believed. The root of sterizo is stereos where we get our word stereo. This is key because alot of people today are hearing in MONO not STEREO. They only hear part of the Word. STEREOS- stiff, solid, stable,stedfast, strong, sure. Peter had the same concern for the church. 2 Pe 1:12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. To be established in PRESENT TRUTH. Just like in the natural the weather conditions change. So do the conditions in the spirit. Times change and seasons change. So we must be aware prophetically of the season we are in. In the book of Acts Agabus prophesies of a famine that was to come and it is recorded historically that this famine did happen. Ac 11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. Because of this prophetic word the church was able to prepare. Are we preparing based on Rhema Word or are we listening to yesterdays echo? Ask the Lord to anoint us His people with a fresh anointing to open our hearing. When a song is listened to in Mono all of the instruments cant be heard. When listened to in stereo all of a sudden there is sound there that couldn't be heard before. We must hear the full counsel of God to be established. SOME THINGS TO BE ESTABLISHED IN 1. Romans 16:25 established in the Gospel in the preaching of Christ 2. 1 Th 3:2 Established in Faiith 3. 1 Th 3:13 established in your heart 4. 2 Th 2:17 Established in every good word and work 5. 2 Th 3:3 Established from evil 6. James 5:8 Established in regards to the coming of the Lord 7. 2 Peter 1:12 Established in Present Truth It is time to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the church. Man has laid his hand on the Bride of Christ for long enough. He is now releasing those who are willing to sacrifice their own lives to adorn her with beauty. Anoint her and prepare her for her Heavenly Bridegroom.The church does not belong to man, she belongs to Jesus. Apostle Jesse |
| Whose word you receive is your daddy. Word creates and it transforms. Someone who believes they are nothing can be transformed into someone by one persons words. On the same note a person can be tore down by words as well. Words received begin to define us as we live them out. They determine where we end up in life. Not only in this life but in the life to come. What we learn and live out determines how God the true Father sees and deals with us. So who do we claim is our father? Let us look at some scripture. Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. Verse 15 declares there are four levels of wisdom. 1.Above- Heaven or from the Heavenly Father 2. Earthly- Human, carnal understanding, fleshly, earthly fathers 3. Sensual- dealing with selfish appetites, animate nature or low beastly nature which is opposite of the spiritual nature. 4. Devilish- From satan, devils, father of lies. Just because one knows something scriptural or spiritual does not make them a son or daughter of God. It is what we live out that declares whose son we are. If we have bitter envying and strife glory not, and lie not against the truth. The heart manifests who we really are, not what we know but what we do. Joh 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Jesus declared to them who their father was. There is according to Jesus words a difference between a descendant and children.The Pharisess claimed right by descent, but Jesus say later in verse 39 if they were children of Abraham, they would have done those works. According to scripture a son obeys. Having lineage is not equal to obedience. Just because one is the preachers child does mean that child is right with God. Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things Jesus lets them know who He is obeying. He also let them know who they were obeying. Joh 8:38 ¶ I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. The Lord admonishes Abraham's works Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. Joh 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. What were the works of Abraham? Faith! Look what He says Abraham rejoiced to see. Joh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Abraham by faith saw the Promise. Yet now these who claimed to be the children of Abraham could not see the Promise though it was right in front of them. It was because they had received another word and had been living it. When truth confronted them they could not receive it so they boasted against the truth. Lu 10:23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Is Jesus right in front of us but we can't see Him because we have believed some one elses word over the Word of God? So whose word are we listening to? Self =Sensual Earthly = Wisdom of man, Devilish=Satan's, From Above = The Heavenly Father Whose seed we receive and believe we will live out. This determines who our daddy is.
